    Background

Adviser Forum is facilitated by FTRC

Adviser Forum is an established forum where major financial advice firms address issues of mutual importance. Adviser Forum examines issues relating to the Life & Pensions and Fund Management industries. Primarily the work of Adviser Forum revolves around improvements to business processes, achieving cost savings and service enhancements. The solutions to these issues will, for the most part, be found through the use of technology but discussions will not be restricted to technology solutions alone. Issues are addressed from the business perspective.

Adviser members meet monthly and product providers join them once a quarter. The meeting with life & pension providers is held separately to the meeting with fund managers/ supermarkets. AIFA and IMA also attend Forum meetings. Adviser members are typically Chief Operating Officer or IT Director level. Provider delegates are a senior management representative from distribution side of the business (typically IFA Distribution Director/National Account Director) plus an e-commerce person who, for life & pension providers is also the Origo Sponsor Forum attendee.

The current members of Adviser Forum can be located by clicking on the "Current Members" navigation button on the left.

In addition to the core meetings, the Forum operates a “Wider Stakeholder” Group. This includes  technology providers, management consultants and other interested parties.   These organisations meet on a quarterly basis and also participate in any relevant Forum Acceleration Group activities.
