77 Oxford Street, London. W1D 2ES T:020 7659 2345
The Adviser Forum was established as an environment where the major adviser and product provider firms can meet to discuss key business issues and identify how to address them co-operatively. Additionally the group operates as a “Think Tank” on key industry issues enabling major players to share views. Whilst the Forum is business focused the solutions to many of these issues are inevitably technology based.
Adviser Forum is a collaborative forum involving major distributors and manufacturers of packaged personal finance products. Its objectives are to improve the efficiency of the market for the benefit of consumers and the industry. Member adviser firms represent over 75% of the IFA market.

What our members say
"We think that the Collaboration Guide that you've produced is a really handy tool for advisers. It helps to outline the benefits of contract enquiry and clarify the process involved, and I'm sure that it will encourage uptake of the service. I'll certainly be encouraging my contacts to read it!"
Darren Phillips, Lead eBusiness Development Consultant Manager (eAdoption), Friends Provident
"Just wanted to say how useful I found the Adviser 1-2-1 April 2009 presentation having just reviewed the content. Very interesting feedback which is very much in line with the feedback we have been recieving from the key intermediary firms across the IFA, Wealth Management and Retail Banking communities over the past 6 months."
Darren Bayley, Proposition Manager, Focus Solutions plc
"The FTRC provides as excellent forum for informed discussion and exchange of views between Advisers, Providers and Fund Managers, and Software Providers. This interaction is invaluable for cross functional dialogue in today's changing market where technology is the driver for improved efficiency. Industry knowledge and IT experience is a powerful combination and the FTRC has an abundance of both."
Keith Robinson, Support Services Director, Origen
"Adviser Forum has incalculable benefits for Adviser firms to get a complete picture on technology issues that are inhibiting us from delivering efficient, profitable business. It provides the opportunity to explor and share others' experience in addressing these issues and what impact various solutions can have. This networking framework with Distributors and the access to FTRC's market knowledge and their consideration of the issues confronting us makes it possible to confront the "Gordian knot" of complexity with a confidence that is beyond those organisations without their own significant expertise and reseach capability.
Software service providers and Product/Fund Managers would do well to embrace this access to an industry wide representation more fully than they do!"
Mike Achilles, Group Director of Technology, Bluefin
"As someone who is charged with marketing and developing online tools, the good practice notes are incredibly useful. It's vital to understand advisers' requirements and by aggregating together the views of a considerable percentage of the top adviser firms you have created a document that is invaluable."
Michael Barrett, Investment Tools Manager, Skandia UK
Adviser Forum is managed and facilitated by Financial Technology Research Centre.
